The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has inaugurated a monthly roundtable meeting with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
The maiden edition of the meeting was held on March 14, 2024, at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja and had in attendance the management team and O/C Legal of the Police Command, Branch Chairmen of the NBA in Lagos State, and all Police Area Commanders.
CP Fayoade assured members of the NBA that the Command will continually play its part in ensuring that the goals for which the monthly roundtable meeting was initiated – strengthening the existing synergy and finding solutions to problems affecting both sides – are achieved.
Members of the NBA led by Idris K Thany Esq, Chairman of the Ikorodu Branch, while commending the Lagos State Command for the initiative gave assurances that the NBA would support the Police, especially in her role in the criminal justice system. He equally assured the Command of the readiness of the Association to sanction any lawyer found engaging in unprofessional practices.
