The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M. Sani and his management team on Tuesday, 16th July 2024, received the acting Zonal Director, Sokoto Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, ACE I. Nwanneka Nwokike, for a courtesy visit in his Office at the State Headquarters, Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi.
In his opening remarks, ACE Nwokike appreciated the CP for the warm reception accorded to him and his entourage. He added that, Kebbi State Police Command is his first point of contact after assumption of duty, considering the existing cordial relationship between the Police and the EFCC.
He solicited CP’s support in the fight against financial crimes and sensitization about its implications for our economy to prevent our youths from being the victim of circumstances.
While responding, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M. Sani welcomed him in his office and assured him his continued support, more especially, considering the EFCC to be a baby of the Police.
The CP also expressed his delight in seeing the rapid growth of the EFCC and urged them to continue to be good ambassadors of the Police.
In a related development, CP Bello M. Sani also paid a courtesy visit to the Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, Controller Sa’idu Bashir Daura, pcc in his good office, where he extended his hand of friendship and seeked for intelligence gathering and sharing with a view to enable the two agencies discharge their duty of securing Kebbi State effectively.
In his response, Controller Sa’idu Bashir Daura, pcc stated categorically that, the Police and Immigration Service are like twin brothers and promised to collaborate with the Police to move ahead in improving the security architecture in Kebbi State.
Controller Sa’idu Bashir Daura, pcc used the avenue and briefed the CP on the ongoing passport reforms and E- boarder policy of the Nigeria Immigration Service aimed at checkmating the influx of people into the country.
