-

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has ordered the immediate removal of Okokomaiko Divisional Police Officer (DPO),  over an extortion case involving some Policemen attached to Okokomaiko Divisional Headquarters.

The Policemen were accused by a mobile phone dealer, identified as Onyinyechi Esther Anwusi, of extorting the sum of N100,000 from him, after tagging him as a Yahoo boy.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, in a tweet on Saturday, the CP directed the DPO’s removal due to his lack of supervision of his men.

Hundeyin added that the CP also ordered the immediate commencement of disciplinary action against him and all his indicted Officers.
