CP visits community after bandits killed two, kidnapped three

On the 18th October of 2023, at about 3:am, bandits invaded Kanzanna village, Tilli District of Bunza Local Government Area, killed two people and kidnapped three others.

The Kebbi State Police spokesman, a Superintendent of Police, Nafiu Abubakar, while confirming the incident, said that the Kebbi State Commissioner of Police, Chris Aimiono Wane, on receipt of the report, swiftly mobilised a combined team of Police Mobile Force, Anti- Kidnapping and Counter Terrorism units to the scene for an on the spot assessment.

According to the image manager, the security forces were there and then combed nearby forests, routes and suspected hideouts.

Abubakar said: “The CP while condemning the attack which resulted in the unfortunate incident, has assured the families of the victims that, the Command was following credible leads and intensifying efforts to track down the assailants and ensure that, the abducted persons are safely rescued and reunited with their families.”

In their separate responses, the district head of Tilli, Alhaji Muhammadu Jabbo Tilli, the Hon. Chairman, Bunza Local Government Area, Hon. Umar Ahmed, and the Hon. Member, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon.  Yusuf Abubakar Tilli, thanked the CP for visiting the area promptly and called on citizens to assist the Police and other security agencies in fishing out the perpetrators of the dastardly attack.
