CRAN Congratulates CSP Benjamin Hundeyin On Appointment As Force Public Relations Officer

-

The Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN) has extended its warm congratulations to Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Benjamin Hundeyin on his appointment as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, NPM, Ph.D.

In a statement signed by its President, Mr. Olalekan Olabulo, CRAN described Hundeyin’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his professionalism, dedication, and remarkable contributions to policing and effective communication in Nigeria.

CRAN noted that Hundeyin’s outstanding academic background, ranging from a BA (Hons) in English Language from Lagos State University to an MSc in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan combined with his training in Civil-Military Coordination at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Training Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State, has uniquely equipped him for the task ahead.

CRAN further highlighted his wealth of experience, having served as Police Public Relations Officer at Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Lagos; Administration Officer at the Force Public Relations Department, Abuja; and, most recently, as the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson.

His international exposure as part of Nigeria’s contingent to the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan (UNAMID) in 2020, was also cited as proof of his capacity to represent the Nigerian Police on a global stage.

“CSP Hundeyin has consistently demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to strengthening the bond between the police and the public.

During his tenure as Lagos Police PRO, he worked closely with crime reporters, fostering mutual respect and building a relationship anchored on openness and accountability.

His appointment as Force PRO is a testament to his competence and a new opportunity to deepen public confidence in the Force,” CRAN stated.

While pledging its continuous support and collaboration, CRAN urged Hundeyin to build on his past achievements and leverage his communication expertise to further reposition the image of the Nigerian Police Force.

Once again, the association congratulates him and wishes him success in his new role.
