Delta Police Arrests 678 Suspects , Recovers 32 Rifles,  27 Pistols, 82 Single Barrel  Guns

Since the assumption of CP Olufemi Abaniwonda as the 22nd commissioner of Police Delta State, the command has recorded significant successes in the fight against crime and criminality.

Some of the recoveries are 32 AK-47/AK-49 rifles, 27  Beretta pistols, 82 single barrel/cut-to-size guns, 19 pump action guns recovered and 5042  rounds of ammunition and cartridges.

The Command further stated that the suspects arrested so far are 131 suspected Armed Robbers arrested, 88 suspected kidnappers, 76 murder suspects, 329 suspected cultists, and 54 rape and defilement suspects.

The total number of suspects arrested is 678, while the number of kidnapped victims arrested is 48. The number of vehicles recovered are 27.
