Delta Police Boss Decorates 457 Newly Promoted Corporals, Tasks Them on Professionalism

-

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, on Tuesday, decorated 457 officers promoted from the rank of Police Constable to Corporal at the Command Headquarters in Asaba.

The ceremony, attended by members of the Command Management Team and other senior officers, marked a significant step in the career advancement of the newly promoted officers.

Speaking at the event, CP Oyeniyi congratulated the officers on what he described as a well-deserved promotion, saying their advancement was a recognition of dedication, discipline, loyalty, and commitment to duty.

“Promotion is a significant milestone in the career of every police officer and a testament to the confidence reposed in them by the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force,” the Commissioner said.

He warned the new Corporals that elevation in rank carries greater responsibilities and higher expectations, charging them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and discipline.

CP Oyeniyi also urged the officers to align with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, and to respect citizens’ rights, deepen community engagement, and sustain public trust.

He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to personnel welfare and merit-based career progression, stressing that hard work and exemplary conduct remain the surest path to advancement in the Nigeria Police Force. #Securitynewsalert.com
