Esther Child Rights Foundation, a nongovernmental organisation focused on fighting for vulnerable people, has concluded plans to spread the gospel of human rights and people’s rights to Imo State residents, helping to show that there is light even in a dark tunnel.
The event, tagged ‘Human rights awareness programme,’ will be held at the Nkwo Ezeagba Hall, by Integrated Fuel Station, Ezeagba, Emekuku, Owerri, Imo State, on July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
The programme will feature notable personalities, including Mummy Treasure Chukwudi, Reverend Mark Chika Pamela, and Evangelist Nkeiru Onyeneke.
The Chief Executive Officer of Esther Child Rights Foundation, Ms Esther Ekwem, is the host of the event.
The event will also feature singer, Friday Fedo Ebutu, who will thrill the audience with his moving songs.
Speaking about the forthcoming event, Ekwem said: “ Human rights are the rights of all Nigerians! People in Imo State, especially Owerr, need this awareness programme. The only vibrant agency there that is concerned with issues relating to human rights and human rights violations is the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), but I’m planning to have an office there soon. A lot of human rights violations are happening in Owerri and also in Aba, Abia State. We want people who cannot fight for themselves to know that Esther Child Rights Foundation is available to fight and get justice for them.”
