On behalf of Borno State Youths Forum (BSYF), we, the entire members of this forum, are appealing to you, Mr President and Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Your Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to come to our aid and release DCP Abba Kyari unconditionally.
The association is pleading that the government should recognise the outstanding and unprecedented service achievements recorded by DCP Abba Kyari when he was the commander of IGP IRT and when he served in Lagos State.
Even here in Borno State, Sir, He and his team ended all the Boko Haram terrorist Suicide bombings in the State, arresting all the Boko Haram terrorist Commanders involved in over 130 Suicide bombings in Borno State and destroying their bomb making factories. Sir. Upto date, he is the only officer who arrested the Boko Haram terrorist members involved in the Chibok School Girls kidnapping of 2014.
Sir, Also In Abuja he arrested the Terrorist group that Conducted the last terrorist Bombings in Nyanya and Kuje 2015 which resulted to many deaths and also discovered and destroyed two of their Bomb Making factories in Gaulaka Niger State. Since that Operation NoTerrorist Bombing was recorded in Abuja. We can’t forget his Arrest of very deadly and Notorious Criminal Kingpins across the country, including Evans, Godogodo, Vampire, Ade Lawyer, Umar Abdulmalik, Halti, Zakari Yau, Ability, Dabo, Dogo Russia, etc.
The government also need to recognise how he suffered and risked his life in maintaining peace, security, and the protection of the lives and properties of the citizens of this country. DCP Abba Kyari received hundreds of awards within and outside Nigeria due to his tireless and outstanding efforts on promoting security through intelligence-led Policing, Use of human Intelligence, Use of Technologies and Technical Intelligence and Cogent strategies in maintaining peace in every nook and cranny of this country.
For his service to his Nation, he received Unprecedented Triple IGP Medals for Courage 2012, 2013, 2014.
Commendation Award from the American FBI 2019, for arresting the killers of a Serving American Soldier in Imo state, Nigeria, arresting the kidnappers of 4 white Americans in Kaduna State, arresting the kidnappers of American citizen George Nathan in Sokoto, etc.
Presidential Medal for Courage from President Muhammadu Buhari, April 2016,
Award for Outstanding Service to the Nation from the National Assembly, June 2020, amongst many other unprecedented awards.
DCP Abba Kyari’s contributions towards Nigeria & to Nigerians is uncountable which easily erases whatever kind of trivial allegation against him, in nutshell the weight of his Contributions & achievements/Service to this nation is thausands of times more than the false allegations against him which is Even a very clear Malicious set up/Personal Vendetta and a calculated attempt to ternish his image and integrity in the eyes of peace loving Nigerians.
Sir, the forum, therefore, is appealing and pleading to Mr. President to release DCP Abba Kyari unconditionally and call him for his official duties in the interest of peace, justice, and National Security of Nigeria.
