The sound of music changes in the home front.
Money starts rolling in…you are initially happy because you can now buy things without counting pennies, without worrying about the dent a withdrawal will make on the account.
Then the happy, laughter lines on your face slowly become replaced by those of bitterness, frustration and suspicion.
The once-before fantastic sex life becomes sterile, and comatose! Even when he does bother to reluctantly whip out his two linesmen and referee to embark on the football play, it’s like his mind is preoccupied…it’s like he wants to get it over and done with.
Before when he was coming…it’s like he desperately wanted to bury himself inside you…like he couldn’t have enough of you…when he poured forth, you used to feel it deep into your being.
And then after the act of giving and taking…of pouring and accepting, he would hold you tenderly and closely to his heart, while the two of you listen to each other’s heartbeats returning to normal. You both were like two hearts in one body.
Now he can’t just wait to jump off the bed, even while his candy bar is still stiff, still dripping semen. Even the turgid veins on the candy bar are yet to collapse in a happy release.
He barely looks at you these days. His phones have become like the national service operator network, always ringing!
Naturally, there may not be service always because you’re sitting close. So he has to get up, and leave the room, to see if he can get a better reception in another part of the house. Lol!
You know he’s cheating on you…you begin to wonder if it was wrong to have prayed for God to favour your man.
Oh come on sister…you’re beginning to fall into the dark abyss of self-pity and it won’t help you. These tears won’t help either…it will only give you headache and heartache.
That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you.
You probably recollected that your husband was not a skirt-chasing idiot, who thinks with his electric pole, instead of with his head.
It means that since he became rich…nay, let’s just say since he now has a car and a good job that brings in steady income every end of the month, he had become cursed or a target.
If some of these cursed babes don’t chase him at the office, they’ll chase him at the bus stop, or roadsides as he drives or walks past.
It could even be at a friend’s birthday party or even at church. Yes, the church is the happening place these days! Two people meet at church and exchange phone numbers and before you sneeze, they have started sexually connecting and networking.
Most men probably honestly don’t want to cheat on their wives and babes, but these cursed babes will not let them be! Haba! How much sexual harassment and advances can a guy take?
As a guy, if you’re good-looking, it’s a problem. You have a nice car, a bigger problem. If you’re rich? You’re dammed!
He is more often than not, the butt of cruel juju pranks. If he plays hard to get, desperate babes will look for ways and means to make him stoop.
They don’t care about the consequences or effects of the use of black magic on him. All they care and can only think about is the money they’ll get out of him when the divides of the juju start rolling in.
I know a woman who enchanted her cousin’s husband to the extent that the man was practically feeding the whole family, including her husband and children. The woman married a man who soon lost his job. But that didn’t stop the babies from coming.
This is where I have problems with couples. You know the statement of your account; you know your source of livelihood and ought to know the number of children you’d be able to manage. But nay, they keep screwing like screwing and kept having babies like rabbits.
What the heck happened to condoms?
I get sick of hearing things like, “I don’t enjoy sex with a condom!” So who is going to take care of all these children? Santa Clause?
The most baloney of excuses is a couple insisting that the last pregnancy was a mistake… and after that, another mistake…and again, another mistake…the number of children keeps increasing.
She became desperate. Her situation went from being bad to pathetic. They lived in a one-room apartment and every corner of the room seemed to be filled with hungry, crying children.
Her cousin, on the other hand, was lucky. She got married to a guy with a steady income, who with time, suddenly catapulted into wealth.
The rich cousin felt it was her duty to keep sending money to the woman and her children. She sometimes would load her car full of foodstuff and make a beeline for the woman’s home.
Nobody knew when the woman started having an affair with her cousin’s husband. The woman was no fool; she probably wanted to dip her hands straight into the cookie jar, rather than keep waiting and expecting handouts from her cousin.
The affair was the talk of the whole extended family of both women. Ironically, everyone in the family was in the know about the affair, except the innocent cousin.
Nobody had the balls to spill the beans to her. Personally, I think that was stupid of the family members. When you see something that is bad, you have to speak out against it.
The affair went on for years; when I said years, I meant it ran into more than 20 years. Some family members claimed the man was jazzed, others insisted that he had an agitating and irresponsible one-eyed snake, which simply didn’t understand the meaning of ‘stay inside trousers or heel boy!’ at the sight of a woman.
The situation finally came to a head when the man, for reasons best known to him, told the woman that he wanted to opt out of the relationship.
She wouldn’t allow him. I guessed she was not through with him yet. After all, her husband was still jobless. The only difference in the set-up was that her children had matured and she was getting old.
While they were dragging the issue, the innocent cousin appeared to have the scales fallen off her eyes. So many things began to fall into place.
To date, she’s still angry with the whole extended family members for keeping her in the dark. She doesn’t speak to any of them.
There are men who once they start making money, will start chasing women like they had never balled before. Stupid men! When they are poor, their wives mean a lot to them. She was their jewel.
Now, there’s money, he tells her that he’s the man of the house, master of the ship.
If she doesn’t like the set-up, she could jolly well take a ride out of the matrimonial home. You hear words like, “Am I not taking care of you and your children? What more do you want from me?”
Indulging in an affair is not only about spending money, and thus your wife shouldn’t worry. It’s also about bringing STDs home to pass on to your innocent wife.
Think about it when next your manhood wants to carry out Aluta on a strange babe. Believe me, no sane babe; woman, or wife likes to share her husband’s or guy’s sugar stick with another.
It is not a crime to become rich or have a source of livelihood after years without one. Please don’t make it to be so.
Remember that when the chips are down your wife is probably one of the people who will stick to you. I mean, where else could she go, especially after having kids for you?
When a family has been financially down for a while, a man hitting it big time should be a cause for celebration and not mourning.
Listen, sisters, like I’d been trying to tell you, sometimes whether he wants to or not, these cursed babes will not let him be.
My suggestion is that you pray for God to give him the strength to be able to walk away from such temptations no matter how ruthlessly enticing and begging to be suckled some of these babes’ boobs can be.
