An Islamic cleric identified as Alfa Shakiru, residing at Dreamland Estate Odo Onasa Agbowa area of Ikorodu, Lagos State has simply disappeared after raping a 15-year-old girl in an uncompleted building.

The distraught victim said that she was going on an errand when Shakiru jumped on her and dragged her screaming and kicking into an uncompleted fenced building where he raped her. After he was done, he got up and bolted.

The child has immediately run to her mother to narrate her ordeal. The mother had immediately taken her to the nearest police station, where they were given a referral letter to Agbowa General Hospital.

The victim narrates: “I am 15 years old. On the 26th of June 2023 at about 4:PM, I was sent on an errand by my mother, on my way going I saw a man called Alfa Shakiru of Dreamland Estate Islamic Center, Odo Onasa Agbowa.

“He forcefully dragged me into an uncompleted fenced building. As I was shouting, struggling with no passersby to rescue me, he ‘blocked’ my mouth, pulled down my undies, raped and pushed me out of the place, and quickly ran away.

“Immediately I reported to my mother, and we left for the police station at Agbowa, where a letter was given to us to go to Agbowa General Hospital for medical examination and report.

“On alleged sexual assault. Medical report given dated 27th of June 2023. No action yet from the police.”
