Kebbi Police Arrests Suspected Armed Robber, Recovers Snatched Motorcycle

…CP Commends Officers Led-Intelligence Policing Strategy, Directs DPO To Transfer Case

 

On the 23rd April, 2025, at about 10:40 pm, one Bashar Ibrahim of Aleiro Town reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Birnin Kebbi, that he was lured by an unknown person to Unguwar Fulani, Badariya area, Birnin Kebbi, hit him with a sledgehammer on his head and made away with his motorcycle.

 

On receipt of the report, the Divisional Police Officer, Birnin Kebbi, immediately mobilised a team of Policemen to the scene.

Following a credible lead, the DPO promptly arrested one Kabiru Ibrahim m’ aged 23 years of Bayan Tasha area, Birnin Kebbi. In the course of interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime.

Consequently, both the snatched motorcycle and sledge sledgehammer used in committing the crime were recovered as exhibits.

Given the successes recorded above, the Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M Sani commended the led- led-led-intelligence policing strategy displayed by the DPO Birnin Kebbi, and urged him to sustain the ongoing onslaught against violent crimes, to ensure a safe and secure environment in the State.

 

The CP also directed the DPO to immediately transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Birnin Kebbi, for a thorough investigation and prosecution to be conducted appropriately.

 

The CP equally reemphasized the Command’s tireless commitment in combating crimes in the State. He also called on the motorcyclists to be wary of time, location and type of people they convey in conducting their business, please.
