Kebbi Police Recovers Two Rustled Cows, Vehicle Used

The Kebbi State Police Command has recorded tremendous achievements in its ongoing onslaught against banditry, kidnapping and other heinous crimes in the state.

 

On the 27th August, 2027, at about 2300hrs, acting on actionable intelligence, a team of patrol team attached to the Divisional Police Headquarters, Suru, while on routine patrol, arrested one Basiru Abdullahi m of Suru district, Suru LGA of Kebbi State in possession of two cattle reasonably suspected to be rustled.

 

When interrogated, he confessed to have conspired with Garba Chairman Datti m of Suru, Ja’e Ango and two others now at large, went to the bush and rustled three cows belonging to Sarkin Fulani Usman m of Suru.

 

Later, they sold the rustled cows at the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (# 500, 000) to one Safiyanu Aliyu m of Jega town and Naziru Danmanu now at large. Similarly, one green Toyota vehicle with registration number Naija-Minna 708XB, used during the operation was also recovered.

 

The case has been transferred to the State Criminal investigation Department (SCID), Birnin Kebbi, for further investigation with a view to arresting the remaining fleeing suspects and ensuring diligent prosecution.

 

The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M Sani had applauded the DPO Suru and his team for their professionalism, swift response and intelligence -driven policing strategy.

 

The CP charged the officers to sustain the momentum while assuring members of the public of the Command’s determination to dismantle criminal networks operating in Kebbi State. He reiterated the Command’s ongoing efforts to clamp down on violent crimes and cattle rustling in the state.

 

CP Bello M Sani hereby appealed to the good people of Kebbi State to remain vigilant and continue to support the police and other security agencies with credible and timely information that could assist in responding to criminal activities promptly.
