The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro today, Wednesday, 30th October, 2024, officially, decorated, the newly, promoted, senior and junior officers in a colourful ceremony, at the State Command Headquarters, in Alahusa, Ikeja.
The number of senior officers promoted, in the state command amounts to two hundred and eighty ( 280 ), while the number of junior officers promoted, is equal to one hundred and thirty-one ( 131 ).
At the decoration ceremony today, Wednesday, in Lagos State Command the following officers were decorated, to their new ranks; Assistant Commandants of Corps ( ACC ) to Deputy Commandants of Corps ( DCC ), Chief Superintendents of Corps ( CSC ) to Assistant Commandants of Corps ( ACC ), Superintendents of Corps ( SC ) to Chief Superintendents of Corps ( CSC ), Deputy Superintendents of Corps ( DSC ) to Superintendents of Corps ( SC ), Assistant Superintendents of Corps I ( ASCI ) to Deputy Superintendents of Corps ( DSC ), Assistant Superintendents of Corps II ( ASCII ) to Assistant Superintendents of Corps I ( ASC I ) and other Junior Cadre Officers to their new ranks also.
The Lagos State Commandant seized the opportunity of the decoration ceremony, to address the media. He appreciated the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and the Civil Defence, Corrections, and Immigration Services Board ( CDCFIB ) for ensuring the swift and unprecedented promotion of officers in the Corps. The Lagos State Commandant also appreciated, the Commandant General of the Corps Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR for also ensuring that the backlog of promotions in the Corps becomes a thing of the past. He charged and promoted officers to continue to fly the flag of the Corps very high at every place they find themselves to serve.
One of the promotees, Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, the Public Relations Officer ( PRO ) of the command, who was directed, to speak to the media, said that the promotion of officers to their well-deserved, ranks are reward for many years of hard work, which will spur them to remain ever committed, to duty and give their very best to the service and the nation.
