Keshinro Renews Efforts To Clamp Down On Unlicensed Private Security Practitioners

-

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has promised that the Command will not leave any stone unturned in the fight against unlicensed private security practitioners and quacks delivering unauthorized and unprofessional security services to unsuspecting clienteles in the state.

The Lagos State Commandant further reiterated that there was a need for improvement in the cordial relationship and effective collaboration that existed between the Command and the Lagos Zone of the Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria ( ALPSPN).

He believed that there was a need to develop new operational strategies, which would further cement the already established synergy by his predecessors.

The Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro made the above assertion known today, Thursday, 1st February 2024, when he received Dr Babatunde  Mumuni, the Chairman of the aforementioned association, who led three ( 3 ) other executive members to visit the State Commandant.

The Chairman of the ALPSPN Lagos Zone, aforementioned above further seized the opportunity to reiterate the many years of solid and cordial collaborations with the Command in its fight against quackery and efforts geared towards taking out unlicensed practitioners or needless and illegal competitors out of business.

However, the accomplishments of the late Acting Deputy Commandant General in charge of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure ( CNAI ), at the National Headquarters, Abuja, at the time when she supervised the affairs of the industry as an Assistant Commandant General were also reflected upon during deliberations and prayers were made for the repose of her death, which the Chairman said, “came as a shocking news to him and other members of their zone.”

Present at the visit were senior officers from the Private Guard Company Unit and three other executive members from the association.
