Lagos CP Decorates 35 Newly Promoted Senior Police Officers

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has decorated thirty-five newly promoted senior officers of the Command, in a ceremony aimed at recognising merit and boosting morale within the Nigeria Police Force.

The promotion exercise saw thirty Superintendents of Police (SPs) elevated to the rank of Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs), while five Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).

Speaking at the event, CP Jimoh described the promotions as a clear demonstration of the Inspector-General of Police’s unwavering commitment to professionalism, motivation, and reward for excellence in the Force. He noted that the exercise underscores the principle that hard work, dedication, and discipline are recognised and duly rewarded, adding that it should serve as motivation for improved performance among officers.

CP DECORATES OFFICERS

On behalf of officers and men of the Lagos State Command, the Commissioner expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun,  for finding the promoted officers worthy of the confidence and responsibility bestowed upon them. He described the promotions as a morale booster that would further enhance operational efficiency and effective service delivery across the Command.

CP Jimoh charged the newly promoted officers to demonstrate greater diligence, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties, stressing that higher ranks come with increased responsibility and accountability. He expressed confidence that the officers would continue to contribute meaningfully to the safety, security, and protection of lives and property in Lagos State.

The Commissioner also felicitated with the officers and their families on their well-deserved promotions and conveyed the goodwill and best wishes of the Inspector-General of Police as they assume their new ranks.
