Lagos Police launches man-hunt for husband who tries to burn wife alive

The Lagos State Police Command has launched a man-hunt for a husband who doused his wife, Risikat with fuel and then set her on fire.

According to reports, the husband would have succeeded in burning his wife alive but for the intervention of some Good Samaritans.

The husband, whose name Police said was yet unknown, bolted after setting his wife on fire.

The incident was said to have occurred on the 5th of November 2022, at House No.10 Ayide Osolo Street Divine Ketu, Lagos State.

The matter was brought to the attention of the Police by one Mr Efe of Divine Estate Ketu.

According to the Police Situation Report sighted by securitynewsalert.com, Risikat disagreed with her husband, whose name is unknown. During the argument, the man was said to pour fuel on his wife and set her ablaze, resulting in bodily severe burns.

Risikat was rescued and rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, the husband was said to have disappeared into thin air.

The Police visited the scene of the incident. The Police said it launched a man-hunt for the fleeing husband.
