Lagosians Can Now Report Traffic Incidents To LASTMA Using The Whistle App

-

As the festive season ushers in heightened vehicular activity across Lagos, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has reaffirmed its dedication to mitigating traffic congestion through the deployment of advanced technology—introducing the Whistle app.

This pioneering application empowers Lagosians to report reckless driving, traffic violations, one-way contraventions, and other disruptive occurrences directly to LASTMA. Whether navigating a traffic snarl, witnessing an accident, or encountering a hazardous vehicle, users can seamlessly alert nearby LASTMA personnel. Upon receiving such reports, the agency will respond swiftly to address the situation—whether by decongesting traffic, managing accident scenes, or removing obstructive vehicles—thereby fostering a safer and more efficient commuting experience for all.

“Traffic woes in Lagos are often aggravated by drivers who flagrantly disregard traffic regulations—ignoring signals, taking one-way routes, and infringing on the rights of other road users. Instead of merely lamenting such infractions, Lagosians now have a practical tool in the Whistle app to report these violations. Once verified, our teams will deploy the necessary resources to address these issues promptly. We urge the public to collaborate with us in cultivating safer and more orderly roadways throughout the state,” stated LASTMA.

Let us join forces to alleviate traffic bottlenecks and ensure a smooth and enjoyable festive season for everyone.

Download the Whistle app from the Play Store today and contribute to safer Lagos roads.
