Back to what I was saying; I was trying to tell you guys some weeks back that some married women embrace lesbianism for reasons we can’t begin to imagine or enumerate.
Some we may know, many we won’t or don’t.
But I don’t however believe that one of the factors is because they are possessed by the devil or evil spirits.
This was the ideology my friend, Evelyn, a journalist, tried to propagate. I argued heatedly with her, but several people supported her.
It’s sad but true; many issues in Nigeria are minced to the level of spirituality.
I believe that a woman who is naturally a lesbian may take to it due to loneliness. Yes, I sincerely believe that a lesbian who decided on her own to marry a guy, meant to try and jettison lesbianism.
Another funny factor is that many of them stupidly soothe their consciences by telling themselves that fooling around sexually with other women is not cheating.
Many take to frolicking with other women because they feel and believe a fellow lady would not bless them with Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Most importantly, a lesbian hardly hits her lover, unlike some men.
Another reason a married lady could take to lesbianism is to fool her husband into knowing she is cheating on him.
A husband will welcome any woman who comes to visit his wife.
He however looks with suspicion on a guy that comes asking for his wife.
Some men can’t possibly imagine their wives indulging in sexual activities with another female.
But it’s happening every day.
Two ladies can go into a room and lock it. Once someone knocks, they would claim they were having a private conversation and didn’t wish to be interrupted.
People will just say ‘amebo’ with a smile and walk away. Nobody will think they had been banging.
It’s because of this that a married woman, living in a face-me-I-face-you compound started engaging in extra-marital affairs and nobody in the compound was any the wiser.
We’re not talking about her poor husband here but teeming neighbours. The poor sod leaves home in the morning and returns at night.
If anyone should know that the housewife was banging outside the home front, it should have been other neighbours.
Everyone knows that in such compounds, gossips are rift.
How was she able to pull the wool over so many eyes?
Simple really…the person who used to visit her once her husband left home was a lady.
She was always dressed in the traditional Muslim hijab.
It was another lady in the compound who began to suspect the veiled figure that came to the woman’s home every day. Once this veiled figure arrives, the housewife would enter her room and lock up for hours.
The nosy neighbour felt the veiled figure was a lover. She tattled to the woman’s husband and cleverly planted a seed of suspicion.
The husband one day left home as usual for work. But he didn’t go far. He watched and waited until his wife’s veiled friend arrived.
He gave them a few minutes and went back home to start banging on the door, asking his shocked wife to open the door.
When the door was reluctantly opened, the veiled figure turned out to be a guy! Everyone gasped in shock, while the suspicious neighbour sniggered.
The saga of the story of married women who are lesbians started after Alhaji Jimeta wrote to me. He said his wife is a lesbian.
He however left so many questions unanswered.
He said a lady told him about his wife and that he saw so many pictures of naked women on his wife’s phones. There was however nowhere he mentioned that he confronted his wife with his allegations.
Neither did he mention anywhere that his wife confessed to being one.
It was clear from his mail to me that he was hurting really bad, but naked pictures and names of women found in your wife’s phone are not enough evidence to say she’s a lesbian.
You said a lady confirmed this to you, but how do you know the lady in question is not jealous of your relationship with your wife?
Yes, many women are married, but lonely and sad. When they find others fortunate and having a blast in their marriages, they get jealous.
That housewives are lesbians is no longer a breaking story anyway. A guy should however not destroy his marriage because of gossip and unconfirmed reports.
If you truly feel your wife is a lesbian and she has hurt you because she didn’t tell you, you need to have a chat with her.
The question right now is this for Alhaji Jimeta; If you’re sure your wife is a lesbian, what do you want to do about it? Do you want to walk out of your marriage or stay?
This decision should be solely yours. It should be so so that you don’t blame anyone tomorrow for your actions. Your wife having a sexual relationship with a lady is as bad as having one with a guy.
The question is: are you ready and willing to forgive? I know you can’t forget. But are you ready to work on your relationship and find out if you can cope with her?
Is she an obsessive lesbian? I mean the type that can’t keep away from their female lovers.
Or is she bisexual? These are questions you need to find answers to. You need to look deep into your heart.
