The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites, Ejigbo, Lagos State, Mr Opara Macdonald, who had earlier denied sodomising a 16-year-old boy, is now singing like a bird, admitting to the crime.
This admission is now on viral video and being shared on different platforms.
What led to Macdonald changing his statement and even doing so on video uploaded for public consumption is best known between him and the police.
In the video, Macdonald is seen speaking without taking time to catch his breath. He speaks like someone who wants to get it over and done with.
In the video, he swore on his life, his son, and everything he holds dear, that he only sodomized the minor and the action was not related to ritual.
His words: “I swear with my life that it is only sex I had with him, that I never used him for any ritual.

“I swear in the name of my late parents that are in the grave, I swear with my children, that I never did anything ritual, it was only sex.
“If I do it, let God take my life and my generations. I’m telling you the truth officers, between me and God, it was only sex I had with him.
“I didn’t take him to any native doctor or take oath in the name of God. I never took any oath whatever against this boy, to use him for any ritual.
“My money is clean, I only had sex with him twice. I swear with my life and that’s just it. I didn’t take his picture anywhere. I swear, I will still put it on the statement.
“I’m making a sincere confession that I didn’t use anybody for any ritual in this life, and I will never do it.
“I never went to a native doctor since I was born, and I will never go to the native doctor till the end of my life. It is only sex I had with him, I didn’t take his picture, and I didn’t do anything, I had sex with him at Nashoba Street in my house.
“I never did anything in my hotel since I built that hotel. It happened in the hotel, not in the house. I used a condom.”

“I did not go to Isheri-Osun Police because my lawyer told me there was something fishy. He came to zone II Police, other departments, to the other side, so when he came there, the other people went to the other departments.
“It was my lawyer that deceived me. He said that he didn’t understand what the DPO of Isheriosun was doing and that the best option was to come to Zone II, so we could have a fair hearing.
“I was a complainant on the other side, I didn’t know the man had an upper leg and went to the oracle team, which is the AIG team.
I have met with the boy before actually, he came to do a TikTok video at my place. I met them at their graduation so some other people have done TikTok.
“I gave him money and he’s not the first person I’ve given money in life. I gave him money for swimming and internet games, he begged me because you have to pay before swimming.
“I want to tell you something, there are competitors in the hotel business and the hoteliers around me want me to go down by all means because I’ve taken most of the customers.
“If the judge convicts me of that, what I want authority to do is to take a DNA of me because the guy in question takes Colos, so what I want the state to do is take my DNA to confirm.
“I can even pay for it, that I was the person who did that, I never did anything, it’s just allegations. I met all of them because I was inside, the father was arranging… I met him during their graduation at their school.

“ One night, I was in my room, chatting on WhatsApp. Somebody started chatting with me. He said that his name was Balogun.
“ He chatted with me sent me a message and told me there was an update. I asked what kind of update, is that one he said the man was going to give me money.
He asked him if he was winning me, how could someone just see another person and want to give him money.
“He now sent me the person’s phone number. He told me to talk to the man. He sent a statement and said that I should copy the statement and send it to the man.
“I did, and the man now responded that I should meet him the following day at BBK junction, which is the name of the bus stop, the man came and picked me up in his car.
“Balogun said the man was going to give me money, that we’re going to share the money. When I met the man, he took me to his house and locked and gave me N5000 at first, I told Balogun that the man gave me N5000.
“The N5000 will be used for transportation. I told Balogun that the money was not enough and that we could not share it.
I didn’t know that thing was the kind of thing that would happen. Balogun said I should go back to the money, that he would give me, so went there the second time and that was when the man gave me N5000. He then also gave me N3000, which I should use to get to the junction.
“He sodomized me twice on October 31st and November in his house at Egbeda.”
