Menstrual Hygiene Enlightenment For Teenage Girls

In a bid to promote healthy living and empower the girl child, Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area on Wednesday, 17th September, 2025, organised a special enlightenment program on menstrual hygiene for teenage girls drawn from Public secondary schools across the LCDA.

The event was held at the Council Secretariat, Agbowa.
The program, themed “Menstrual Hygiene: Caring for the Girl Child,” was facilitated by the Council Chairperson, Dr. Olajumoke Nafisat Anomo, a seasoned medical doctor, who also served as the host.
In her welcome address, Dr. Anomo explained the rationale behind the initiative, urging the students to pay close attention and participate actively. She further demonstrated practical steps in maintaining proper menstrual and general hygiene, equipping the girls with knowledge for healthier and more confident living.
