NAFDAC Zonal Director Pays Courtesy Visit to CP Kebbi, Calls For More Collaborations

The Commissioner of Police, Kebbi State Command, CP Bello M. Sani, had on Thursday, 6th November 2025, received the Zonal Director, Northwest Zone, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Mr. Dadi Nantrin Mulla, during a courtesy visit in his office at the State Headquarters, Gwadangaji, Birnin Kebbi.

 

In his address, Mr. Mulla intimated the CP that, he was on a working visit to the State and deemed it necessary to pay him a courtesy visit to appreciate the Command’s continued supports to the agency, and call for more collaborations in the ongoing fight against manufacture, sale and distribution of fake, substandard, unregistered and expired regulated products in Kebbi State.

 

Mr Mulla also reiterated that NAFDAC has the mandate to ensure compliance with the national standard. While discharging their duty, their staff used to encounter attacks from the violators. In view of this, there is a need for improved synergy between NAFDAC and the State Police Command to ensure the safety and security of their staff, enabling them to function optimally.

 

While responding, CP Bello M Sani welcomed and appreciated the Zonal Director, North West Zone, NAFDAC, Mr Mulla, for taking time to visit him despite his tight schedule.

 

The CP reiterated his readiness to improve on the existing cordial working relationship with the NAFDAC personnel, with a view to ensuring their safety and providing a conducive atmosphere to discharge their mandate effectively in the state.

 

CP Bello M Sani also advised the Zonal Director to extend the enforcement to companies and individuals to make sure that they maintain the NAFDAC guidelines while manufacturing products.

 

In his introduction, the Kebbi State Coordinator, NAFDAC, Alhaji Muyideen F. Suleiman, briefed the Zonal Director, Northwest Zone, on the already existing relationship between NAFDAC and the Police Command in Kebbi State.
