Nigerian Army Swoops On Boko Haram Collaborators, Drone Supplier in North-East Operation

-

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intensified their crackdown on Boko Haram insurgents, arresting key collaborators and neutralising fighters in a series of coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno States.

In the Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, soldiers from Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade apprehended 28-year-old Ismail Muhammed, identified as a logistics supplier for the terrorist group.

Securitynewsalert.com heard that military officials said items recovered from him included an AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military gear, and food supplies.

“He was caught trying to move supplies that would have sustained terrorist activities in the area,” said Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for Operation HADIN KAI. “His arrest is a major step in cutting off Boko Haram’s lifeline.

In a separate ambush near the Visik River line in Madagali, troops neutralised a notorious Boko Haram commander, Abdullahi Mafa. An AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the scene.

Acting on further intelligence, soldiers also arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula at Madagali Motor Park. Gubula is accused of supplying aerial drones to insurgents, which were later weaponised against troops. Two drones, accessories, and 20 solar power banks were seized during the operation.

“This is not just about weapons; it’s about technology being used to prolong violence,” said a local vigilante leader who assisted in the operation. “We are determined to stop them from terrorising our communities.”

Elsewhere in Ngamdu, Borno State, troops working alongside vigilantes and the Civilian Joint Task Force repelled insurgent activity and neutralised a terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions. Logistic items were recovered during the encounter.

Residents in affected communities expressed relief at the military’s efforts. “We can finally sleep with less fear,” said Aisha Musa, a mother of three from Madagali. “The army and vigilantes are protecting us, and we are grateful.”

The Nigerian Army’s High Command commended the troops for their sacrifices and urged them to sustain the operational tempo. “These successes are part of our sustained mission to dismantle insurgent supply networks, restore security, and protect communities across the North-East,” Lt. Col. Uba added.  #https://securitynewsalert.com/
