NPF Partners With UNDP, GS Foundation For Advanced Facilitators Training

-

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the GS Foundation, has implemented an Advanced Facilitators Training Program aimed at enhancing the instructional and leadership capabilities of police officers.

The training, held at the National Institute of Police Studies (NIPS), Abuja, runs in two sessions from February 10th to 15th and from February 17th to 22nd, 2025.
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, was represented at the opening session by Commissioner of Police, Department of Training and Development, CP Rashad B. Afegbua, psc, mnips. The training participants were carefully selected based on their outstanding performance in the Basic Facilitators Program. This advanced program aims to equip them with high-level facilitation skills, enabling them to serve as facilitators to other officers and thereby ensuring a sustainable capacity-building framework within the Force.
The NPF appreciates the UNDP and GS Foundation for their invaluable support in sponsoring this program, further strengthening the Force’s commitment to professionalism, excellence, and improved service delivery. The Force remains committed to personnel development and capacity building, recognizing its role in driving effective reforms in Nigeria’s policing system.
