NSCDC takes anti-cultism, anti-bullying campaigns to schools

The Badagry Division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, led, by its Divisional Officer, Chief Superintendent of Corps ( CSC ) Akinyemi Rasheed Ayodeji on13th December 2022, in a bid to eradicate crimes within the school system, embarked on a sensitization campaign against cultism, bullying, rape, sexual molestations, drug addictions and other forms of social vices.

In order to achieve the above aim, the division visited, the students of State Senior High School, Ibereko, located in Badagry, yesterday.

The visit was in partnership with the Special Female Squad of the Command, led by Deputy Superintendent of Corps ( DSC ) Ada Agada.

The sensitization team, which was led, by the Badagry Divisional Officer, CSC Akinyemi Ayodeji, sensitized, the students through dramatic and verbal means, on the ills of cultism, bullying, rape, and other social vices noticeable, amongst children of their age, on the school’s assembly ground.

The Principal of the above-mentioned school, Mrs Benedict Abudu gave absolute and sincere support and commendation, to the NSCDC team, for targeting them at no better time than this.

The NSCDC team was also joined, in the sensitization campaign,  by Mr Victor Ashaka, who further enlightened, the students on the need to shun all forms of vices that may be harmful to their health and future.

The NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Commandant of Corps ( CC ) Edenabu Okoro Eweka also commended the effort of the Badagry Divisional Officer and the Special Female Squad ( SFS ), on the sensitization campaign against cultism, bullying, sexual molestations, in schools within Badagry axis.

“The Command’s resolve against cultism, rape, bullying, sexual molestations, addiction to drugs, kidnapping of school children and other social vices in our schools is not negotiable,” Eweka said.
