Ogun Police arrest man for defiling 16 yrs old drunk girl

The Ogun State Police Command said it has arrested 32-year-old Gbenga Kolawole for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl, while she was not in her right senses.

 

The alleged perpetrator did not take advantage of the girl while she was drunk, he also took advantage of an underage girl.

According to the state police spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, the matter was brought to the attention of the police by the victim’s distraught mother.

 

Odutola explained that the girl’s mother reported that her 16-year-old daughter got drunk during their church’s anniversary celebration, which took place on the 6th of November 2023 in Adubu Ogun State.

 

The image manager said that the mother of the girl dragged her out of the church and locked her in a nearby bar shop, which the perpetrator infiltrated and had unlawful carnal knowledge of the drunk girl.

 

He was however caught in the act by one Sunday Ibrahim of the same address.

 

Odutola said: “The victim was taken to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention and treatment while the suspect has been arrested for Preliminary investigation.”

 

In another development,  the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Sango-Ota has successfully recovered a Blue coloured Toyota RAV4 SUV with registration number MUS 580 JA for one Elogie Polycarp, who reported that his car was stolen from a car park in Gbagada by unknown thieves.

 

Odutola stated that intelligence-based policing led the DPO to arrest 55-year-old Alao James in his hideout in Ilo Ota in connection with the crime.

 

“All exhibits will be handed over to Gbagada Police Station where the case originated,” said Odutola.
