The Ogun State Police Command has officially refuted circulating reports alleging that popular social media entertainer Broda Shaggi was shot within the state.

In a formal statement released on Friday, March 13, 2026, the Command clarified that there is no record of such an incident occurring under its jurisdiction. According to the police, comprehensive checks across all police formations in the state have yielded no reports or evidence to substantiate the claims currently making the rounds on social media.

The statement, signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, emphasised the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order while ensuring the safety of all residents.

“In line with the Command’s commitment to professionalism and transparency, investigations have been initiated to ascertain the facts and verify the claim,” the statement read. “The Command is actively carrying out necessary investigations to determine the true circumstances of the report.”

The police have urged members of the public to exercise caution regarding unverified information and to rely solely on official channels for updates.

As the investigation continues, the Command has reiterated its dedication to upholding public peace and security across the state. #Securitynewsalert.com
