Police arrest 75 yrs old man for defilement of his 4 yrs old niece

Police operatives attached to Obi Division, Nasarawa State have arrested 75-year-old Isa Nana Okpoku of Daddare Development Area, Obi Local Government Area for raping his four years old niece.

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ramhan Nansel, while confirming the incident, explained that the complaint was lodged at the Divisional Police Headquarters on Saturday, 10the December 2022, at about 8:AM.

According to Nansel, preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and his niece are both residents in the same house thus, he lured the victim into his room and wilfully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

Nansel added: “The victim was, however, rushed to the hospital for medical examination where the doctor confirmed the hymen is broken. The Commissioner of Police, CP Maiyaki Mohammed Baba has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the offense.”
