Police arrest man using charms to defraud POS operators

The men of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested 26 years old Chisom Nweke, for allegedly using a Point of Sale Machine to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.

The Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Ikenga Tochukwu, said: “The suspect confessed to using charms to defraud POS operators within Awka and its environs. The arrest took place on 15th September 2022 at about 9 am. Preliminary investigation reveals that the suspects cut plain white papers in the size of the money and gave it to the POS operators for deposit. Efforts are ongoing to arrest other members of the criminal gang.”
