Police arrest member of wanted terrorist leader

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested 20 years old suspected terrorist, Murtala Amme, whose leader, Kamillu Buzaru, has been on Police Wanted List.

The Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a Superintendent of Police (SP), Gambo Isah, said that on the 11th of November, 2022, at about 5:PM, the Command succeeded in arresting Murtala Amme, of Unguwar Mazare, Danmusa LGA of Katsina State, a suspected terrorist.

Isah said: “In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to belonging to the camp of one Kamilu Buzaru, a notorious terrorist, on the wanted list of the police, terrorising Danmusa LGA and its environs.  Furthermore, the suspect confessed to having participated in several attacks on communities in the area leading to kidnappings for ransom and cattle rustlings. He mentioned Nagge, Abu, Habu, Hamisu and Ahmed, all at large as his accomplices.”
