Police Arrest Suspected ‘One Chance’ Syndicate Members in FCT

-

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested two suspected members of a notorious “one chance” robbery syndicate operating across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its environs.

According to Force Public Relations Officer (New Media), Aliyu Giwa, the syndicate exploited unsuspecting commuters by offering them rides, only to rob them of cash, phones, and other valuables. In some cases, the attacks reportedly resulted in violence and fatalities.

Giwa disclosed that operatives of the Police Intelligence Department’s Special Tactical Squad (STS), acting on credible intelligence, carried out an operation on March 8, 2026, at Sambec Hotel in Mararaba, Nasarawa State.

During the raid, the police arrested two suspects identified as David Francis, 22, and Emmanuel Ibenni, also known as “Markfish,” 36. Both individuals are believed to be key members of the criminal network.

He added that several victims have since come forward to identify the suspects, aiding ongoing investigations. Efforts are also underway to apprehend other members of the syndicate who remain at large. #Securitynewsalert.com
