The Delta State Police Command, reaffirming its commitment to enforcing traffic regulations and improving public safety, has impounded twenty-one (21) vehicles during an intelligence-led enforcement operation conducted across Abraka and Ozoro.
On 21st July 2026, at about 1500 hours, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations, led command operatives on an enforcement patrol targeting traffic violations and other offences.
During the operation, 21 vehicles were impounded for various offences, including non-display of registration number plates, covered number plates, and expired vehicle particulars. The affected vehicles will be subjected to appropriate legal and administrative processes.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, reiterated that vehicles without proper identification or valid documentation pose significant security risks and can be exploited to facilitate criminal activities.
He urged motorists to comply with all extant traffic and vehicle registration regulations, warning that the Command will sustain intelligence-led enforcement operations across the State to promote public safety, strengthen security, and ensure strict compliance with the law. #Securitynewsalert.com
