The Force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that the panel set up by the Inspector General of Police, Alkali Usman Baba to probe the allegation of extrajudicial killings, organ harvesting, extortions, among other crimes, levelled against some senior police officers in Anambra State, has gone far in its investigation.

Adejobi stated this on his Twitter handle. He tweeted: “We have gone far. We will make an official statement about it. But the officers have all been posted out of that place and the IGP has ordered the CP to reorganise that outfit. We are still investigating. There are many allegations that require expert opinions.”

It will be recalled that the allegations against the senior officers, were made by a whistle-blower, Nnamdi Emeh, a corps member that worked closely with the officers and knew their operations.

The Police had since arrested Emeh and there are fears from some civil society organisations that he could be killed to ensure he stops further spilling the beans.
