The ongoing medical screening for applicants for recruitment into the Constable cadre of the Nigeria Police Force including the practical tests for specialist applicants which began on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 across the Police Zonal Command Headquarters entered its third day yesterday, Thursday. The exercise has continued to receive massive turnout from applicants who qualified for these stages of the process.
Reports monitored from the Commission’s Situation Room in Abuja confirmed that as of the third day, hundreds of applicants have been attended to.
The Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force had sent Officers to the zones to conduct the exercise which is one of the requirements for the final selection of candidates.
After the initial hitches, the exercise has since stabilised across the zones.
Reports from the centres confirm that officials of the Police Service Commission and the Nigeria Police Force have covered a lot of grounds while also ensuring that required rules and procedures are diligently adhered to.
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission and National Coordinator for the exercise, Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, retired Inspector General of Police who has visited some of the centres commended the Staff of the Commission and the Nigeria Police Force for their commitment to duty and for the seamless and shared approach to the assignment.
He thanked Nigerians for their faith in the system and assured them that the Commission will continue to ensure that the exercise remains transparent, credible and merit-driven.
