A respected police reform advocate and public affairs commentator has publicly commended the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, for his outstanding leadership, professionalism, and genuine commitment to police accountability and reform.
In a recently viral video, CP Aboki Danjuma is seen alongside his management team personally monitoring police checkpoints across Imo State. During the exercise, he was caught engaging with motorists, reassuring them of their rights to freedom of movement without fear of harassment or extortion by law enforcement officers.
He further encouraged members of the public to report any instance of police misconduct, assuring swift action and consequences for erring officers. The Commissioner emphasised his unwavering dedication to entrenching discipline, professionalism, and public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.
The police reform advocate, known for his objective criticism of the Nigeria Police Force and strong stance against misconduct, praised CP Danjuma’s conduct, stating:
> “This is the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, of Imo State Police Command, about whom I wrote a few days ago. I’m a police reform advocate and critic. But I have confidently and repeatedly said that he’s a truly professional Police Officer, genuinely providing exemplary leadership. With more Police Officers like him at the leadership level, the Nigerian Police will witness real reform.”
