Police Special Fraud Unit Gets New Public Relations Officer

 The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU) Lagos has appointed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ovie Kenneth Ewhubare, LLB, as its new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).

He takes over from SP Eyitayo Johnson on Monday, April 7th, 2025.

DSP Ovie is a member of the First Regular Course of the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree.

He has attended various courses, including Investigative Interviewing Skills by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Communication Tools and Awareness Creation on the Police Act by International Alert, Combat Operations Course at Police Mobile Force (PMF) Training College, Ila-Orangun, and Computer Application, Mico Computer Technologies.

He has served in different capacities such as Staff Officer Police Public Relations Department (PPRD) at the Force Headquarters Abuja, Second in Command, Police Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) Force Headquarters Abuja, Sectional Commander, Anti-Kidnapping Unit Owerri, Imo State Police Command, Officer-in-Charge of Surveillance, Central Police Station Abuja, FCT Police Command and Operations Officer Lugbe Divisional Police Headquarters, FCT Police Command Abuja.

The appointment of DSP Ovie Kenneth signifies a renewed commitment by the Force Public Relations Department (FPRD) to strengthen communication, transparency, and public engagement further.

DSP Ovie Kenneth will continue his immediate predecessor’s open-door policy and promote active engagement with the public.

The Unit calls on all well-meaning members of the public and stakeholders to continue to collaborate with the new PPRO.
