The Lagos State Police Command has ordered that guards at police stations be increased following a gun attack on three policemen attached to Denton Police Station.
An investigation has been launched into the Wednesday attack of the three policemen, who disappeared with their rifles.
Securitynewsalert.com gathered that the three policemen, attached to Denton Police Station were on Stop and Search duty when the hoodlums attacked with a hail of bullets.
A police source: “In view of the sad incident at Denton Police Station yesterday (Wednesday) where three policemen were shot by hoodlums and their arms carted away, while on stop and search duty, ACPOL has directed that Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) should lecture their officers, most especially those on patrol duty and station duty, and to always be at alert and vigilant while on duty.
“The Police were further directed that police stations must be well fortified by not less than four armed men as station guards and to ensure strict compliance.”
