The Lagos State Police Command said it has not stepped into the ongoing matter of Nollywood actress, Empress Njamah and arrested her former fiancé because it was yet to receive a complaint from the actress.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin stated this while speaking exclusively with Securitynewsalert.com.

It will be recalled that a Liberian, Josh Wade, ex-fiance Empress in December 2022 threatened to share her nude videos.  He was further alleged to have created a WhatsApp group where he was said to have uploaded some of the videos and pictures.

Following the widespread news that Wade had started uploading the videos, Securitynewsalert.com reached out to Hundeyin, asking why Wade had not been arrested following the threats and allegations of the uploading.

It will be further recollected that sharing of sex tapes, nudes, and pornography on media is offence and punishable with severe penalties under the cybercrimes Prevention and Prohibition Act 2015, the Criminal Code, and Penal Code.

Responding to Securitynewsalert.com questions, Hundeyin said: “ Has Empress filed a complaint anywhere?  For me, I’m yet to see any nude pictures anywhere. And you don’t want her to lose the case in court. Victim’s testimony is crucial.”
