Popular TikToker DJ Chicken Attacked in Sagamu Following Minor Road Incident

-

A minor traffic accident in Sagamu has devolved into a disturbing incident of mob violence, with a popular TikTok content creator known as DJ Chicken reportedly being violently attacked and humiliated.

The incident, which is said to have stemmed from a collision between the celebrity and a commercial motorcycle rider (Okada rider), has drawn widespread condemnation against “jungle justice.”

The details of the attack surfaced late yesterday and have sparked strong calls for immediate police action. According to social media reports, the minor road misunderstanding quickly escalated, leading to DJ Chicken being allegedly beaten and subjected to degrading treatment by an angry mob.

The violent nature of the incident has been labelled as “deeply disturbing and totally unacceptable.” Observers stress that no traffic dispute, especially one so minor, should ever escalate into mob violence.

“No individual deserves to be beaten, humiliated, or subjected to degrading treatment under any circumstance. Violence does not settle disputes; it only erodes peace, fuels fear, and undermines the rule of law in our society,” one commentator wrote in a widely circulated statement.

There is a growing demand for a thorough investigation into the attack. Specifically, calls have been directed to key figures in the Sagamu community: HRM Oba Babatunde Ajayi, Paramount Ruler of Remo Kingdom. The Police Area Commander, Sagamu. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sagamu.

The focus is to ensure that the culprits involved in the mob action are identified, brought to book, and made to face the full weight of the law.

Authorities are being urged to take decisive action to send a strong message that mob violence and jungle justice have no place in Sagamu, Ogun State, or Nigeria at large.

The incident highlights the continuous need to uphold a culture of law, order, dignity, and peaceful conflict resolution. Advocacy groups and concerned citizens are standing firmly against all forms of mob action, demanding that justice and due process must always prevail.
