Anambra State Civil Society Network (ACSONET), a foremost Citizens and stakeholders’ platform has condemned the recent attacks and killings in the State by yet-to-be-identified hoodlums.
The latest was the most unwarranted killing of United States (US) Embassy Staff, Police officers, and others along Atani-Osamala Road in Ogbaru Local Local Government Area of the State.
Leader of the group, Prince Chris Azor who doubles as Non-State Actors Co-chair, Open Government Partnership (OGP), in his reaction, described the incident as dastardly and most condemnable.
Comrade Azor called on the Federal and State Governments to redouble their efforts in ensuring the security and safety of citizens.
He also implored the Nigeria Police and other security agencies to ensure the prompt arrest of the hoodlums and the release of others taken hostage.
The human rights advocate while pledging the full support of his members across the Communities, enjoined citizens to always assist the government in surveillance and information gathering to stem the ugly tide.
Comrade Azor on behalf of the group, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families especially, the US Embassy and the Nigeria Police.
