A retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Kenneth Embrimson, and veteran journalist Charles Oyawale have commended the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, and officers of the state command for the arrest of three suspects linked to the murder of former OGTV broadcaster, Madam Olakitan Oyesiku, and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo.

The commendation followed the arrest of a prime suspect and two alleged accomplices in connection with the killings, which occurred about two weeks ago.

Embrimson described Ojajuni as a “quintessential criminal profiler,” saying the police commissioner’s swift response and investigative skills were instrumental in tracking down the suspects.

According to the retired police chief, the investigation reflected exemplary leadership, operational efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to justice and public safety.

He said the prompt arrest of the suspects had sent a strong message to criminal elements and would serve as a deterrent to others contemplating similar crimes.

“As a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police who once superintended the Ogun State Police Command, I take pride in this achievement and encourage CP Ojajuni to sustain the momentum in ensuring the safety and security of the people of Ogun State,” Embrimson said.

He also congratulated the police commissioner and wished him continued success in the discharge of his duties.

Similarly, veteran journalist Charles Oyawale praised the professionalism of the investigators, saying the successful operation demonstrated the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force when adequately equipped and supported.

He argued that with improved welfare, logistics, and operational tools, Nigerian police officers could rival and even outperform their counterparts in more advanced countries in investigations and crime-fighting.

“The Ogun police did a good job and an excellent investigation. Indeed, a painstaking investigation to unravel the mystery behind the gruesome murder was decisively carried out within a short time, and that intensive investigation led to the arrest of the three suspects,” Oyawale said.

He expressed hope that the Ogun State Police Command, under Ojajuni’s leadership, would ensure a diligent prosecution of the suspects and that justice would ultimately be served.
