‘Shadow’ Initiated Me Into Robbery, Says Suspect Connected In Raiding Homes In Delta

-

…Gang Busted After Receiving Cache Of Arms, Ammunition For Operation

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), a Superintendent of Police, Edafe Bright, said that the Command has arrested a gang of suspected robbers, which specialised in raiding homes.

Bright said that the suspected gang members while preparing for another operation, were swooped on by police operatives from the Delta.

The Police arrested over 12 suspects and recovered an English pistol, one long double barrel gun, a locally made cut-to-size gun and over seven cutlasses.

“They said they usually scale through the fence and most of the time, their victims don’t usually lock their doors,” said Bright.

Bright, who stated this in a video, said: “We are at the special anti-kidnapping and cybercrime squad in Delta State Command and like I always tell you, Delta State will never be a home for criminals, it will never be a haven for criminals because we will always smoke them out of their hiding places.

“Today we have two syndicates of armed robbers who go from house to house robbing people of phones, money, laptops and electronics. They have made us understand that they get access by scaling fences. They also told us one thing that is peculiar about their operations and that is their targets.  I’m not the one that will say their target, they will say it by themselves.”

He said that exhibits recovered from the gang are double barrel guns, pistols, locally cut-to-sized guns and machetes.

Bright said: “We’ll be interviewing them now, for an amount of time I don’t want to bore you with too much talking because I know our audience and listeners want to hear directly from them.
