Zenith Bank has been urged to fish out the person who withdrew N4 million from the account of one of their customers.
Sunday Olufemi Adedeji took his Facebook to canvass for support for the victim of the fraud.
According to Adedeji, the victim’s daily transaction limit is N200,000, but over N4m was withdrawn within a few minutes.
Adedeji argued that Zenith Bank should explain and show the person that increased the customer’s daily limit.
He posted: “She went to the bank but was told she used her token to withdraw the money. She reminded them that she has no token linked to the account and has never requested for one. She challenged the bank to show her any record where she requested for a token.
“Zenith Bank is not cooperating but treating her like someone who stole her own money. As the pressure mounted, they said they have recovered N800,000, and she should make do with that. Crooks! Lol.
“She’s currently looking for a lawyer, which would cost her so much to pay for the services. Note that this money was moved to Access and Union banks before being taken out. And these accounts have BVN linked to them, after all, CBN bans withdrawal from accounts without BVN, but deposits.
“What stops Zenith Bank from following the money trails and getting the account owners apprehended until the REAL culprit is arrested? This is because bank staff is fraudsters stealing customers’ money.
“They start by intimidating, harassing, and bullying the customers to shut them up, and if it doesn’t work, they make a part refund to calm them down, so that the bank will embezzle the rest.
“Nigerian banks are crooks! Make no mistake about it. Some would say, don’t request for ATM card, don’t use Internet banking and all whatnot. That won’t save you when these bank staff want to steal your money. This lady didn’t request a token but her money was withdrawn using a token. Who issued that? Bank staff.
“I think the only way to keep your money safe from these hoodlums on suits is to put the huge amount you are not using in a Fixed Deposit account. Let’s see how they would steal money that is Fixed.”
