Taskforce Officers, Others, Receive Kits From LSSTF

-

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated safety kits, including protective boots and helmets, to officers of the Lagos State Taskforce to enhance their safety and welfare during operations, says The Punch.

The spokesperson for the Taskforce, Abdulraheem Gbadeyan, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, noting that the donation was aimed at improving officers’ well-being and operational efficiency.

According to the statement, the Executive Secretary of the LSSTF, Ayo Ogunsan, commended the officers for their service and sacrifices in maintaining security across the state.

“You are awake so that others can sleep with both eyes closed. I am sure history will be kind to you for doing so at the expense of your own health and safety,” Ogunsan said.

“Hence, the need for LSSTF to provide you with all these protective kits to safeguard yourselves. Help yourself, take care of your health,” he added.

Ogunsan also reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture, stressing that the Taskforce’s role remains vital to keeping Lagos safe and habitable.

Responding, the Chairman of the Taskforce, Adetayo Akerele, appreciated the LSSTF’s continued support and urged officers to make effective use of the equipment.

The LSSTF has continued to provide operational support and working tools to security agencies in Lagos, including the Nigerian Army and the police, as part of efforts to improve security across the state.
