A disturbing report has emerged from Plateau State, where residents allege that an attack by suspected Fulani assailants left seven villagers dead.
According to a local source, youths from the community mobilised in response to the violence, only to be met with force from the Nigerian military.
“The Fulani came to our village and killed seven people,” said a man from Plateau, who spoke under anonymity. “When our youths rose to defend our people, the Nigerian army stepped in to protect the Fulani terrorists. In the process, they killed many of our people.”
The source claimed that numerous victims are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital, though official confirmation from medical authorities and the Nigerian military has not yet been provided.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with commentary accounts sharing the story under the caption “Nigeria Is Gone,” accompanied by flags of Russia 🇷🇺, India 🇮🇳, Niger 🇳🇪, Mali 🇲🇱, and Burkina Faso, possibly signalling broader regional or ideological concerns.
Authorities have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the alleged events. The situation remains tense, and calls for an independent investigation are growing.
