-

Chaos erupted in Ajegunle on Thursday evening when policemen attached to Golden Ventures Ltd, Egbeda, Lagos State, were attacked by suspected hoodlums while accompanying the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Akeem Ariori, leaving three persons dead and another seriously injured.

Securitynewsalert gathered that the officers, Inspector Ahmed, Corporal Ibrahim Garba, Corporal Ibrahim Kashim, and Inspector Jubrin from 20 PMF, were said to have left their approved duty post without the knowledge of their squadron before heading to Ajegunle in the company of the CEO.

During the attack, Inspector Jubrin sustained a severe chest injury, while the team’s vehicle was damaged. The confrontation turned deadly when gunmen opened fire, leaving three of the attackers dead.

Police authorities confirmed that all the officers involved have been defaulted, while the Unit Commander has been queried as part of ongoing disciplinary measures.
