Three Ladies In Court Over Alleged Theft Of N13m

Three ladies have been arraigned in the Yaba Magistrates Court, Court Two for stealing.

The ladies are OlamideEfuntade 24, Nosfisat Hammed 21 and Aliyat Adio 17.

The defendants were arraigned on the 12th of March 2025, on a four-count charge.

Count one reads: “That you, OlamideEfuntade 24, Nosfisat Hammed 21 and Aliyat Adio 17 between the Year 2024 and 9th of March 2025 at No. 27 Nollah Street, Abarange Road, Ikotun, in the Lagos State Magisterial District  Conspired amongst yourself to commit a felony, to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 411 of the Criminal Law, CAP c17, Vol. 3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

Efuntade between June 2024 and 9th March 2025, allegedly stole the sum of N13 million property of Adenike Adekinwa and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 287 of the criminal law, CAP c17. Vol 3, Laws of Lagos State 2015.

According to the court’s charge sheet, Hammed stole N10million, and Adio stole N1.5million.

The prosecutor is M. A Animashaun Esq, while the Magistrate is Ejiro Kubenje.

The defendants pleaded not guilty.

The defendants were granted bail in the sum of N2 million with two responsible sureties in like sum.
