Three, among five policemen that were posted to Igara Division, Akoko-Edo in Edo State were killed on Thursday.
According to reports, the policemen ambushed some assailants. It was also gathered one of those that laid ambush and attacked the policemen, also died in the melee.
Police investigators are working on the theory that the policemen were attacked by members of the Okene community.
