Apostle Michael Olowo has called on the Nigerian government to take decisive action against terrorism, citing recent developments in the fight against ISIS and further calls for the immediate arrest of Sheikh Gumi.
In a statement shared by commentator Somto Okonkwo (@General_Somto), Apostle Olowo referenced President Donald Trump’s swift response and a reported U.S. Army airstrike on ISIS terrorists in northern Nigeria. He emphasised that the Nigerian authorities must now “take a bold step and arrest the terrorist Sheikh Gumi.”
The call comes amid ongoing concerns about the killing of Christians in Nigeria, with religious leaders and activists pressing for stronger measures to protect vulnerable communities and dismantle extremist networks.
While international intervention has drawn attention to the crisis, Olowo’s remarks highlight growing pressure on Nigeria’s leadership to intensify domestic counterterrorism efforts and ensure accountability for those accused of aiding insurgent groups.
