A 19-year-old boy identified as Davic Eric Uchenna, believed to be a member of Eastern Security Network (ESN), has allegedly confessed that his camp has over 400 members, who have been terrorising the southeastern zone.

According to the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the suspect, on 2nd of November 2022, at about 7:49 Pm, based on a tip-off, arrested Davic Eric Uchenna, aka. Ibrahim Muhammed of Orji River LGA of Enugu State.

He was arrested at Kofar Sauri Quarters, Katsina, on the suspicion that he is a kidnapper. In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to belonging to the gang of the proscribed terrorist group “Eastern Security Network”, (ESN) with a camp at Akpogozie forest in Orji River LGA of Enugu State under the leadership of one Eminike a.k.a. “SAPALE” with over 400 members, terrorising the South Eastern states of Nigeria.

The suspect further confessed that his gang kidnapped someone in Imo State and collected the sum of N10 million as ransom.

He said that he stole the sum of N700,000 from the camp and escaped to Katsina State, alongside one Chuckwumeka and Chinemerem, which the duo had left Katsina since to evade arrest.

Uchenna also allegedly confessed to committing a series of crimes ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping and other heinous crimes in the eastern states of Nigeria.
